Hundreds of Napoli fans trooped out on Monday afternoon to catch a glimpse of their record signing, Victor Osimhen as the team landed in Castel di Sangro, Corrierodellosports can report.
The Naples side arrived at the training center at noon to intensify preparations for the season as coach Genaro Gattuso side carefully avoided the crowd due to Coronavirus regulation and directly crossed the gate of the Sports Village.
Needless to say, all eyes were on Aurelio De Laurentiis’ big shot: Victor Osimhen who is among Ringhio’s 34 squads leaving out Petagna, who had tested positive to Covid-19 on his return from Sardinia and currently in isolation. As part of the retreat program, Osimhen had his first training session with the rest of the team in the sports center of the Abruzzo city ahead of Friday’s friendly match against the City side, L’Aquila-Castel di Sangro (at 5.30 pm).
Barring any last minutes hitches, the former Lille towering striker is expected to make his debut against the home side in a match that will be played behind closed doors.
The second friendly comes up on Friday 4 September against Teramo (at 5 pm). The close camping will end on Friday 4th September.
