Tragedy As Doctor Dies of Coronavirus In Kaduna

A medical doctor working with the Kaduna State Emergency Routine Immunisation Coordination Centre, Dr Clement Bakam, has died of coronavirus-related complications, according to a report by Punch.

Bakam, until his death, was the Programme Manager of KadSERICC, according to a statement on Wednesday, by the state Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Medical Association, Dr Abdulsalam Abdulrazak.

In the statement, the association condoled family and friends of the deceased.

โ€œOn behalf of the chairman, I regret to announce the sad demise of our brother and colleague Dr Clement Bakam following COVID-19 complications.

โ€œUntil his death, he was the Programme Manager, Kaduna State Emergency routine immunisation Coordination Centre.

โ€œOur condolences go to his immediate family, friends, colleagues and Association of Resident Doctors, Kaduna. May God comfort us all,โ€ the statement said.

The state has so far recorded no fewer than 2,163 cases of COVID-19
