First batch of Nigerians own A-29 Super Tucano aircraft arrives
Kano, on Thursday 22 July 2021 at about 12:34pm.
A statement by Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, Director of NAF Public Relations and Information said, “The 6 aircraft will be leapfrogged through 5 countries including Canada, Greenland, Iceland, Spain and Algeria before arriving their final destination in Nigeria towards the end of July 2021.
” On hand to receive the aircraft were the Hon. Minister of Defence, Major General Bashir Magashi (Rtd), Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya and Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Oladayo Amao”.
