Prolific Nigerian actor, Chiwetalu Agu has been reportedly rearrested by the operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), s4m report.
It could be recalled that Agu was arrested by the Nigerian Army around Upper Iweke in Onitsha, Anambra State, on Thursday, October 7, for wearing a Biafra outfit.
The veteran actor in a viral video clip that surfaced on social media could be seen being manhandled by the soldiers who apprehended him before he was later released on Friday.
But following his released, it seems trouble has found the Nollywood veteran yet again as a report from S4M MEDIA discloses that men of the DSS have him in their custody.
Confirming the rearrest, the Spokesman of the DSS, Dr Peter Afunaya disclosed this during a brief chat on Friday, October 8, 2021.
Afunaya said, “Army brought him to us. Justice will take its course.”
The President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas, also confirmed the incident on Friday night,
He said, “The AGN is aware that the DSS has picked up Chiwetalu Agu after the Nigerian Army arrested him. We are currently working on securing his release
